Join us for our spiritual pilgrimage to the motherland of yoga, amazing India! Guaranteed to give you a boost in your spiritual life and cross off that next bucket list trip! We will start in Mumbai with the life changing Flower Festival where we will have a transcendental flower fight during ecstatic Kirtans (or musical mantra meditations) led by internationally famous chanters. Next, we will spend 3 days at the prestigious Govardhana Eco Village, one of the world’s top rated self-sustainable eco farms, for a cultural immersion with yogis from around the world. Here you will have 3 fresh Ayurvedic meals daily and access to first class Ayurvedic treatments. From the Eco village we will depart to the world capital for Rishikesh for a 5 day adventure where we will bath in the sacred river Ganges, hike to the top of the Himalayas, experience ancient ceremonies and venture into caves that date back thousands of years! We will end our trip with a few days in Vrindavan, the most special of all sacred sites in India where we will get a full taste of real ancient yoga tradition – A town fully immersed in the ecstasy of spiritual practice while visiting untouched flower gardens and ancient villages.

This trip is for those who are ready to level up their spiritual life and experience a culture of ancient yoga that will open the mind and heart to profound new levels. We are so very excited to serve you and facilitate a life changing experience in the Sacred Mother India!

What health precautions should I take?

It is recommended to visit a Travel Medicine clinic or your doctor before traveling to discuss any precautions or necessary vaccines.

What can I expect in India?

You can expect a livening experience to boost your soul and open your mind! But at the same time, please keep in mind that this is India and you should not expect US standards. We are traveling as Yogis and thus we will live simply but comfortably. As a cultural and spiritual experience note that we will be eating healthy but primarily vegetarian food with little to no alcoholic beverages. Please be comfortable with these limitations prior to signing up for this trip. The experiences you will have are designed to be transformational in spirit!

How will we travel in India?

We are going to be visiting 4 different parts of India including Mumbai (2 nights), Govardhan Eco Village (3 nights), Rishikesh (5 nights),

Vrindavan (2 nights). We will be traveling by private professional van and also one internal flight. If you have tendencies to get car sick, it is recommended to bring some over the counter medication, as the trips will be several hours in length.

Can I speak English?

Our whole trip will be in English and all the places we go everyone speaks English.

How do I get there?

You’ll want to fly into Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. Currently, there are many round-trip flight options out of the Northeast U.S. for around 665$- 1300$. You need to arrive on or before 2pm on January 24. The retreat will end on February 5, with transport back to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, arriving by 1pm, so the earliest flight departure time should be 4 pm. For flight recommendations, feel free to ask us.

We will have the opportunity to wash our clothes in Mumbai and Rishikesh but we highly recommend  hand washing your belongings once we get to Vrindavan. Here are some items you may want to pack:

Note: Please dress “modestly”. Nothing short, low cut, too tight etc. Women should pack capri length pants and skirts that go past the knees and tops that aren’t too revealing. Long skirts are best and pants that aren’t skin tight. Shawls are always nice and can be used with flowy skirts on the festival days! Indians wear lots of color, so bright colors are welcome and encouraged!

The flower festival is an opportunity to dress in our best Indian attire! (not necessary, but fun!)

It is a sign of respect and chastity to have women’s hair tied back or braided so we recommend bringing hair ties. Sometimes India can be a bit overwhelming for women with all of the attention that is paid, so these suggestions are so that we can blend in more and not call on too much extra attention. Women should bring one-piece bathing suits and a pair of shorts to wear for swimming.

Men can wear shorts/pants above or below the knees and can wear bathing suits/ board shorts.

Remember to bring clothes for Yoga! Both men and women will have plenty of opportunities to purchase cheap, lightweight, and loose fitted clothing when we get to Rishikesh.
